Excalibur Girls is teaming up with artist and designer Katerina Mihajlovska to add conceptual visuals to our two collections, Sword and Stone.

Sword is a series of intricately embellished garments, ranging from elegant outerwear to jumpers and gowns—all in the finest fabrics. Custom textiles & laces, embossed velvets, beading, ribbon embroidery, limited releases, and a unique design sensibility all combine to make Sword a well-rounded collection of pre-set designs.

Stone is a grouping of basic design silhouettes. The bread and butter of a daily wardrobe, Stone includes a selection of skirts, blouses, dresses and coats that can be customized to your heart’s (and wallet’s) content. What Stone lacks in embellishments it more than makes up for in choosiness. Most Stone garments feature twelve fabric options (many of which have been personalized through over-dying) and numerous trim choices. Stone garments may be basic, but they aren’t boring; four of Stone’s soon to be twenty-two JSKs are featured below.

Katerina is a talented designer in her own right, and this summer Excalibur Girls will be releasing a mini line of her designs.

I design in color. My garment’s lines and embellishments organically grow from mental hue combinations. I also think mono-color coordinates that use alternating shades of the same color can make for some of the most interesting outfits. For Excalibur Girls’ first collection I wanted to bridge the gap between winter and spring, with rich, classic jewel tones and complimentary floral shades that aren’t quite pastels. Both color groups are versatile enough for year round use, and will also mix well with the colors of our upcoming summer collection. Read the rest of this entry »
